At around 11:30am on Tuesday, law enforcement officials, emergency personnel and first responders from all across Cherokee County – were dispatched to the scene of a serious accident involving an overturned log truck in Centre.

That truck, which was fully loaded, appears to have been traveling northbound on 9 when it left the road on the left hand side, opposite Northwood Drive – taking down a power pole, ripping down several power lines in the process.

Its unclear what led to the accident.
