Cave Spring Woman Jailed in Cherokee County Following High-Speed Chase

A high-speed chase from Georgia into Cherokee County on Wednesday night resulted in the arrest of a Floyd County woman.

Floyd County Police were in pursuit of a vehicle when the driver, identified as a Cave Spring resident entered Cherokee County at around 9:35pm with Cedar Bluff Officers joining the chase.

That vehicle hit spike strips that had been deployed near the Country Store, coming to a stop at Enon Grove Baptist Church, at which time she was placed under arrest by members of the Cedar Bluff Police Department.  The Leesburg Police Department, Centre Police Department and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the operation.

Lynsey Foster, age 35, was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center on the charges of Attempting to Elude, at around 10:30 that night; she was released around 10:00am Thursday and will face charges in Floyd County, Georgia.
