Name of the Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Chattooga County Has Now Been Released

Chattooga County, Georgia Sheriff Mark Schrader announced early Tuesday morning, that a pedestrian was struck and killed on Highway 27 around 10:00pm Monday.

The individual was struck on 27 near Greeson Street in Summerville – receiving fatal injuries.   The victim has now been identified as 45 year old Jeremy Paul Crump of Summerville   According to reports he was wearing dark clothing when he was struck in the outside northbound lane of 27 by a vehicle traveling north.  The driver immediately stopped after the incident.

The Georgia State Patrol is conducting an investigation and additional information is expected to be released soon.
