According to Sheriff Jonathon Horton, George Wayne Jordan, Jr. stands charged with a count of Sex Offender Failing to Register, Resisting Arrest and Assault 2nd Degree on a Law Enforcement Officer.

That arrest is in connection with a tip of a sex offender from Florida that was living at a residence in the Owls Hollow area of Etowah County.

Sgt. Victor Payne and Investigator Brian Smith – were following up on a tip that a Sex Offender Fugitive out of Florida was living at a location on Owls Hollow Road and had not reported to Etowah County law enforcement.
