Local Arrests Hit Double Digits Wednesday

Cherokee County Arrest Files:

Zachary Chase Nelson, age 26 of Piedmont – Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (two counts) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

Elliot Clay hendrix, age 46 of Jeffersonville, Georgia and Alanna Marie Brooks, age 46 of Dry Branch, Georgia – each charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance;

Edward Miguel Frier, age 24 of Cedar Bluff – Failure to Appear on a prior charge of Driving without a License;

Amos Moses Lyons, age 49 of Collinsville – Failure to Appear on a prior charge of DUI;

Ryan Jedidiah Robertson, 39 of Leesburg – Probation Violation and Failure to Appear on prior charges of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance;

Tera Nicole Lorrens, age 45 of Lindale, Georgia – Court Order;

Stephen Ray Clifton, age 30 of Gadsden – Attempting to Elude, Theft of Property 3rd Degree, Obstruction of Justice/False ID and Theft of Lost Property;

Matthew Melvin Doss, age 33 of Centre – Probation Revocation and Domestic Violence 3rd Degree;

and

LaVonda Smith Thompson, age 56 of Cedar Bluff – Financial Exploitation of the Elderly 1st Degree and Theft of Property 2nd Degree.

Arrests are based on probable cause – all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

Currently there are 94 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
