(KNOXVILLE, Tenn.) — Multiple people, including a police officer, were shot at a high school in Knoxville, Tennessee, police reported Monday afternoon.

Several agencies, including the Nashville field division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, were on the scene at Austin-East Magnet High School in northeast Knoxville as law enforcement investigated. Police are asking everyone to avoid the area and said in a tweet that a reunification site has been set up at the baseball field behind the school.

Knox County Schools Superintendent Bob Thomas said in a tweet the school has been “secured” and that the students “who were not involved in the incident have been released to their families.” Authorities are still gathering more information about the “tragic situation,” he said.
