GADSDEN – EllaGrace Hood tossed a perfect game through four innings with 12 strikeouts. She was also 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and four RBIs in leading the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats to a 15-0 softball win at Gadsden City on Tuesday.
Maggie Hester belted two home runs and drove in four runs for Sand Rock (9-8-1). Katelyn St. Clair went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, three runs and three RBIs. Jadyn Foster was 2-for-4 with three runs. Lily Clanton and Sherina Foster both had a pair of hits and a pair of runs. Rylin St. Clair also contributed two hits and a run. Maggie Tinsley finished with a hit.
Sand Rock is scheduled to take on Cedar Bluff in the opening round of the Cherokee County Tournament at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Centre.
