Thursday, a teenage resident of Oneonta was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident that took place in Blount County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as 18 year old Daniel Curtis.  The crash occurred at 12:00am on Alabama 132 approximately three miles east of Oneonta.  Authorities state Curtis was driving a 1998 Toyota Corolla that left the roadway and struck a tree.  He was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
