Latest Numbers Regarding COVID-19 Pandemic from the Alabama Department of Public Health

The latest update on the COVID-19 Data & Surveillance Dashboard – issued by the Alabama Department of Public Health – indicates that thus far, Cherokee County has had a total of 42 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and one case which has been labeled “probable””.

On Sunday the Cherokee County EMA released a statement saying currently only five active cases remain.  According to the ADPH data, the county has had four confirmed deaths due to COVID-19.  Over the last 14 days, a total of ten positive results have been returned, out of 443 tests that were administered in the county,

Statewide, the number of confirmed Coronavirus cases currently stands at 20,166 with 688 deaths being attributed to the illness – while the number of presumed recoveries currently stands at 11,395.
