Single Vehicle Crash Claims Life of 19 Year Old Woman Outside of Gadsden

A single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Etowah County claimed the life of a Crossville woman.  Public Information Officer, Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel, reported that 19 year old Brittany Michelle Cantrell’s 1999 Honda Accord left the road on U.S. 431, and overturned at approximately 5:20pm. 

She was seriously injured in the wreck and was taken to UAB Hospital, where she later died

Cantrell was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident – which took place approximately two miles west of Gadsden – remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
