Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader says a single-vehicle crash resulted in the death of an individual.
The accident happened on the Holland-Chattoogaville Road.
According to the Georgia State Patrol: Robert Holland Strawn was traveling west on Holland-Chattoogaville Road in a white 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier.
Mr. Strawn ran off the edge of the roadway, overcorrected and lost control of his vehicle.
The vehicle then crossed both lanes of traffic, left the roadway again on the opposite side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Mr. Strawn was not restrained and suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
