Congressman Mike Rogers Discusses Border Security, HR 8 & HR 1112

WEIS Radio News had a chance to speak with Congressman Mike Rogers earlier in the week concerning some hot topic issues facing the nation. One of topics was the controversial issue of Border Security.

Congressman Rogers also commented on the opposition of HR 8 & HR 1112

HR 8 would require a background check for the sale of every firearm; you can view HR 8 in its entirety by visiting our website at weisradio.com.

HR 1112 would amend chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code, to strengthen the background check procedures to be followed before a Federal firearms licensee may transfer a firearm to a person who is not such a licensee.

Congressman Mike Rogers once again invited Cherokee County citizens to visit his local mobile office hours in the area, and visit with one of his staff members with their concerns.

Rogers said his mobile office in Centre will be open at City Hall the first Wednesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
