Several Cherokee County Officials including Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver and Deputies were sworn in on Friday afternoon at the Cherokee County Courthouse in Centre.

Circuit Judge Shaunathan Bell, Circuit Clerk Dewayne Amos, Probate Judge Tim Burgess and Sheriff Jeff Shaver were all administered the oath of office by District Court Judge Wes Mobley.

Cherokee County Probate Judge Tim Burgess remarked that this was the first time ever that a group of elected officials shared a investiture ceremony in Cherokee County –

Judge Burgess than administered the oath of office to each of Cherokee County’s Sheriff’s Office Deputies, afterwards we spoke to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver.
