The New Honda Passport to be Manufactured at Plant in Lincoln, Alabama

Honda announced Thursday (November 15th) that its newest vehicle, the Passport, will be manufactured at the Honda plant in Lincoln, Alabama.

The Passport, an SUV which looks to be bigger than the CRV, but smaller than the three-row Pilot, will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 27th.

A Honda spokesperson says “The new Passport is a more personal, powerful and off-road-capable SUV that hits the sweet spot between daily driving comfort and weekend off-road, all-weather adventure capability”; the vehicle will launch early next year (2019), and it will join the HR-V, CR-V and Pilot as Honda’s fourth SUV, and sixth light-truck model – including the Odyssey minivan and Ridgeline pickup.

Honda has released two “teaser” photos in advance of the official unveiling of the new Passport on the 27th.
