Authorities have released the name of the person fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident taking place on the Kingston Highway in Floyd County around noon Tuesday.  The victim has been identified as 33 year old Charley Edwards, who was reportedly driving the Toyota truck when it crashed.  Two other occupants of the truck were seriously injured, and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Edwards’ father, Alan Edwards was also killed in a traffic accident earlier this year near U.S. 411 and the Bypass, when he was hit by a vehicle while walking to get gas at a convenience store.  The wreck Tuesday involving Charley Edwards was near the church where his father is buried.

No additional information regarding the accident is being released at this time
