Teenager Struck by Vehicle in Front of Chattooga High School Thursday Evening

A teenager was struck by a vehicle on Highway 114 in front of Chattooga High School about 6:30 Thursday evening.

First responders quickly arrived on the scene where they found the 15 year old lying in the roadway, suffering multiple broken bones.  The victim who was alert and conscious was transported by Redmond EMS to the Redmond Station on Stockade Road in Summerville and from there was transported by Life Force to a Chattanooga area hospital for treatment.  The teen is reported to have suffered a broken elbow, several lacerations to the spleen and multiple bruises and according to the latest information, is in ICU in Chattanooga.

The Summerville Police Department is investigating the accident.
