Alabama State Troopers responded to eight accidents in DeKalb County, two in Etowah and one in Cherokee County during that mixture of sleet and freezing rain that hit the area early Monday morning.

Of those eleven wrecks, the only one involving an injury was the single-vehicle rollover that occurred on Highway 9 north just outside of Cedar Bluff; that accident took place at 7:10am near County Road 80 and according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report involved a 2003 Toyota pickup being driven by 61 year old Kathy Harper of Centre. 

She was transported by Cherokee EMS to a Rome area hospital for treatment.  

Cedar Bluff Firefighters also responded to the scene along with Alabama State Troopers.
