Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic/Axelle (LOS ANGELES) — Tyrese apparently has some explaining to do.
After claiming Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith had given him $5 million to cover his legal fees, sources close to the couple reportedly tell TMZ that Tyrese actually didn’t get red one cent.
The Fast and Furious actor had shared the news on Sunday about the Smiths’ alleged gift.
“Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat,” he wrote, captioning a series of photos of him and Will Smith. “You’ve guys asked me to get off and stay off the Internet now that my daughters legal fees will be paid. I will listen.”
According to the source, the Smiths are very concerned about their longtime friend, fearing that he may be having an actual breakdown.
As previously reported, Gibson released an emotional video last week that showed him breaking down in tears over the prospect of having his daughter, Shayla, taken away from him. He’s still involved in a custody battle with his ex-wife, Norma, who’s asking a judge for a permanent restraining order and full physical and legal custody of their daughter.
