ABC/Randy Holmes(LOS ANGELES) — Is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson cooking up a bid for the presidency?
The Fast and Furious star fueled rumors of a possible presidential run during a panel at Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con on Saturday, according to New York’s Daily News, saying, “I think the ‘People’s President’ has a really nice ring to that. I’ll just say that.”
Johnson told GQ magazine back in May that a campaign was “a real possibility.”
Johnson — a registered Independent — spoke at the Republican National Convention and attended the Democratic National Convention, both in 2000.
Johnson will next be seen in Jumanji, opposite Kevin Hart and Jack Black, opening nationwide December 20.
