Gaylesville Man Hurt in Highway 35 Accident with Log Truck Wednesday Afternoon

A Gaylesville man was injured in a two-vehicle accident involving a log truck on Highway 9 Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report the wreck took place at 3:50pm approximately six miles north of Cedar Bluff and involved a 1999 International and a 1995 GMC. 

The driver of the GMC, 32 year old Dustin Cavin was listed as being injured in the crash and the driver of the log truck, 40 year old Michael Walker of a Piedmont address, was unhurt.

No additional information regarding the extent of Cavin’s injuries was available.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
