Ferdaus Shamim/WireImage(NEW YORK) — Idris Elba could possibly be rethinking the institution of marriage.
After the twice-divorced Dark Tower star told Essence that he’s not interested in being married again, saying it “is an institution of sorts,” and “it’s not [his] life’s calling,” the actor seems to have had a change of heart.
“Love is eternal, you never know what might happen,” Elba said on Tuesday’s Good Morning America after being asked if he’d be open to marriage again. “I’ve been there, I’ve done that. But you can never say never.”
Idris was married to Hanne “Kim” Norgaard from 1999 to 2003, and then to Sonya Nicole Hamlin for less than a year in 2006.
While the actor is apparently not ruling out the possibility of a third marriage, Elba’s currently concentrating on another passion: acting. He stars in multiple projects this year, which include Thor: Ragnarok, the fifth season of Luther, and the upcoming fantasy thriller The Dark Tower, starring opposite Matthew McConaughey. It hits theaters this Friday.
