Fire gutted a home on Bay Springs Road at the corner of Jackson Street near the Cherokee County Career & Tech School just after midnight (Tuesday night/Wednesday morning).
Centre, Cedar Bluff and Leesburg Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the home already fully engulfed in flames. At this time it is not known what started the fire, Cherokee Electric crews had to be called to the scene to cut power to area while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
Centre and Cedar Bluff Police, in addition to Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies also responded.
