Family and friends of an elderly Cedar Bluff couple are concerned for their welfare.

Hugh Washington, age 85 and Betty Washington, age 73, reportedly went to Rome, Georgia, on Wednesday morning for a doctor’s appointment and failed to return home.  According to Lt Joe Costolnick with the Rome Police Department the couple was last seen having lunch in Rome.

Both have health issues.
