Rome Police arrested, easily, a 54 year old man who tried to flee from them…on a scooter.
Calvin Newell, Jr. had allegedly stolen a bag containing an iPhone 5, a driver’s license, bank card, child support card and a phone case.
When spotted by officers he tried to make a quick getaway on his scooter but apparently he quickly decided it would be faster to flee on foot; they caught him anyway.
In addition to the robbery, Newell was charged with fleeing/attempting to elude, driving on a suspended license, obstruction, driving on an expired tag and driving without insurance.
