A local artist made quite an impression Tuesday night on NBC’s “The Voice.”

Ellie Lawrence lives in Calhoun and impressed the judges on the singing competition with her performance of “We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off” and ended up on Gwen Stefani’s team.

According to her bio on “The Voice” website, Ellie grew up in Crandall, Georgia, before moving to Calhoun to pursue a career in music.

Ellie has been a fan of indie pop music all her life and has been playing piano since the 5th grade.
