Cherokee County K-9 Officer Recovers Large Quantity Of “Spice” And Cash Following Traffic Stop

On Monday Cherokee County K-9 Officer Michael Green made a traffic stop for speeding at the intersection of County Roads 101 and 390.

Deputy Green ascertained one of the four occupants of the vehicle, Michael Sprayberry, was wanted for non-support.

Green obtained consent to search the vehicle and found 390 grams of synthetic marijuana, also known as “spice”, along with cash.

31 year old Reginald Jerome Sandridge and 25 year old Renardo Jerome Sandridge both of Gadsden along with 31 year old Michael Anthony Sprayberry, 31, from Cedar Bluff and 32 year old Jennifer Davis Tierce of Centre were all transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center, where they remain awaiting a bond hearing on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, second degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Sheriff Jeff Shaver states “Deputy Green did an outstanding job in the constant fight to remove this dangerous drug “spice” from the streets of Cherokee County.”
