Cherokee County High School Baseball out slugs the Jacksonville High School Golden Eagles in 8-6 defeat in Game 2 of Series
Cherokee County High School Baseball won the hit battle 9-5 on Monday, but couldn’t push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 8-6 in seven innings to the Jacksonville High School Golden Eagles at Jacksonville High School Baseball Field.
Jaren Lockridge led Cherokee County High School Baseball’s offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
Christian Stinson looked sharp on the rubber. The Jacksonville High School Golden Eagles managed just one hit off of the Cherokee County High School Baseball’s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Cherokee County High School Baseball fell 9-8 to the Jacksonville High School Golden Eagles in seven innings on Saturday at Jacksonville High School Baseball Field despite racking up eight hits and eight runs.
Colin Brewer racked up five RBIs on four hits for Cherokee County High School Baseball. He singled in the first, third, and fourth innings and doubled in the fifth inning.
Carter got the win for the Jacksonville High School Golden Eagles. He allowed three runs over three innings. Carter struck out five, walked four and gave up two hits.
The Jacksonville High School Golden Eagles were sparked by Glass and Lackey, who teamed up for five hits and seven RBIs.
Preston Grimes was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
The top of the first saw Cherokee County High School Baseball take an early lead, 2-0. After Jaren Lockridge singled, Colin Brewer singled, plating Kyle Burgess and Colin Edwards.
