Timothy John WiseGadsden Police arrested a man after his wife reported he fired shots into a residence where she was staying, then returned hours later and trashed a vehicle.
31 year old Timothy John Wise is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied building.

According to Police Wise is accused of first coming to the East Tuscaloosa Avenue residence about 4:25 a.m. Wednesday and firing multiple shots from an SKS rifle into the back of the residence, with four people inside.

The occupants got as low as they could to avoid gunfire, and Wise allegedly forced his way under the residence and threatened them through the floor. He left on a bicycle with the gun on his back in a guitar-shaped case. Two of the occupants left, one to go to work, about 7 a.m.

About 10 a.m., Wise allegedly returned and slashed the drivers’ side tires of a vehicle and trashed the vehicle’s interior, while honking the horn and screaming at his wife, according to the report. Between the two incidents, she retrieved her phone and was able to call police. When Wise learned police were coming, he left.

When police arrived, some officers stayed on the scene, while others tracked Wise to his residence on North 24th Street. Officers surrounded the residence and Wise’s wife was able to contact him by cellphone. She gave the phone to Sgt. Mark Henderson and he was able to talk Wise into surrendering peacefully. The firearm was recovered.

Wise and his wife were taken to the police department for interviews.
