Sometimes it pays to sweat the small things – a man wanted in connection with three burglaries – was arrested this week after being stopped for not wearing his seat belt.
47 year old Anniston resident James Leonard Johnson was arrested on three outstanding warrants for 3rd Degree Burglary during the traffic stop.
Those warrants stemmed from three different burglaries at Raymond James Financial last year.
Anniston Police had collected physical evidence from the scene of each burglary – two of which occurred in May with the third taking place in August, and sent it to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for DNA testing; results linked Johnson to those burglaries and arrest warrants were issued.
