Dovie Hale Arthur, age 81 of Leesburg. Passed away Thursday, February 27th at her residence.
Funeral services will be 3:PM Sunday, march 2nd at Cedar Hill United Methodist Church; burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:PM Sunday, at the church.
Pallbearers will be grandsons
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
Survivors include son, Gary (Paula) Daniel of Gadsden; daughter, Kathy (Bryan) Owens of Leesburg; sisters, Joyce Ford of Leesburg, Carolyn (Leland) Chandler of Fort Payne; grandchildren, Dusty Owens, Amanda (Mike) Cox, Corie (Luke) Robinson, Jamie (Jason) Lecroy, Darin (Kim) Long, David (Lea) Long; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Mrs. Arthur is a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Dow and Freda Griffith Hale and was a member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cherokee County Humane Society.
