Mr. Lamar Ammons, Sr. age 77, of Cartersville, GA, passed away on Tues., Feb. 4, 2014 at Cartersville, Medical Center. Mr. Ammons was born in Cherokee County Alabama on Aug. 3, 1936, son of J.P. Ammons and Alverlee Tiller Ammons.
Funeral services will be held on Fri., Feb. 7, 2014 at 2 PM (CST) at St. Mark United Methodist Church with pastor Robert Smith and Rev. Tommy Price officiating.
The body will lie in-state at the church from 1 PM (CST) until the service time.
Interment will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens, Center, AL.
The family we be receiving friends at the home of Ms. Fannie Starr, 11 Tyler Drive, Rome.
