Mr. David Homer Myer Sr. age 83 of Jacksonville, Al. formerly of the Tucker’s Chapel Community passed away Wednesday January 22nd at Northeast Medical center.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday January 25th at Welcome Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Chris Murdock officiating: burial will follow in the Welcome Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 P.M. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Welcome Hill Baptist Church or the church of your choice.
Pallbearers include Lyle Myer, Clay Myer, Brent Naugher, Charles Bolton, Justin Yates, and Daniel Dooley.
Survivors include wife, Venice Mayne Myer: Son, David Homer (Pat) Myer Jr. of Jacksonville, Daughters; Deborah Myer Hale of Miramar Beach, FL, Tami (Bill) Pockstaller of Centerville, AL, Brother; Roland ‘Dick” (Elloween) Myer of Sand, Rock, Sisters; Jane White of Birmingham, Joan (Gary) Burt of Ft. Payne, 2 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews.
Mr. Myer was a native of Cherokee County the Son of the late Dedrick Homer and Cora Edge Myer. David was a retired engineer in the textile industry and was of the Baptist faith.
