Centre Police and ambulances were dispatched to the scene of an accident, taking place just after 12:00 noon Friday (December 13th) near Cherokee Medical Center.

A small passenger car had drifted off the roadway onto the shoulder of the road – bumping into a stop sign before coming to a stop.

Emergency crews arrived on the scene almost immediately – finding that the driver was suffering from a medical condition of some sort.

The individual was then transported to Cherokee Medical for treatment and observation.

No additional information was immediately available.
