Two people have been indicted on Capital Murder charges by a Calhoun County grand jury.

The Anniston Star is reporting that 32 year old Walter Craig Pinkston and Monica Marie Shively age 30 have been indicted, in connection with the September stabbing death, of 89 year old Alma Fleming of Wellborn.

Warrants for the arrest of Pinkston and Shively, allege the two stabbed Fleming while attempting to steal money from her – and an autopsy later revealed that the elderly woman had been stabbed in the chest multiple times.

Pinkston and Shively were both denied bond by Circuit Judge Debra Jones in September.

No defense attorney has yet been assigned to Pinkston.
