Program To Provide “Super Citizen” Kits To Centre 5th Graders

Centre Middle School is the location for a very special event taking place this Tuesday.

Through a partnership with Regions Bank, The Liberty Learning Foundation will provide free in-school performance and “Super Citizen” Program Resource Kits that will impact over 125 fifth grade students from Centre Middle School.

The Liberty’s Legacy Super Citizen Program is an annual in-school program that focuses on educating 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in America’s history and heritage while incorporating character-building, financial literacy and career development components that the foundation believes are fundamental to the success of our youth and country.

The donated kits arm educators with tools to engage students in core subjects, character building, financial literacy and career readiness – and teaches them to become proud, responsible citizens inside the school and out.

Because parents, educators, leaders and businesses are taking ownership in this movement, officials with the foundation say they are succeeding in strengthening the character of whole communities.

Tuesday’s Kickoff Event which begins at 1 p.m. features Lady Liberty who will put on a 45 minute theatrical performance to get the kids excited about starting the program.
