Cherokee County Commission Approves Several ATRIP Resolutions During Monday Meeting

Corey ChambersThe agenda for the Monday meeting of the Cherokee County Commission, included a number of ATRIP Project Resolutions,

The list of project areas consisted County Roads 16 and 21 in District I – County Roads 3 and 36 in District II – County Roads 22 and 31 in District III – and County Roads 41 and 99 in District IV.

Each resolution was approved.

After the meeting, we spoke with County Engineer Corey Chambers about the various projects:

In other business the commission approved to advertise job postings for Probate Office Clerk and Heavy Equipment Mechanic at the Highway Department.

Also approval was granted to lower the speed limit on County Roads 380, 382, 396, 453 and 461 – to 25 mph.

The next regular meeting of the Cherokee County Commission is scheduled for Monday, August 26th at 5:00pm in the County Administration Building.
