Phil Williams Announces Bid for Re-election to Alabama State Senate

Phil Williams 2Senator Phil Williams says he will seek re-election to District 10 of the Alabama State Senate.

Williams cites himself as a conservative Republican candidate, with the strong desire to continue his efforts to bring jobs and growth to this area, while representing the conservative values of the local communities.

Since being elected, Williams has fought for and won a number of conservative battles, including a repeal of the 2007 legislative pay raise, job creation and small business growth legislation, and the ability of parents to choose the best school for their child’s educational needs, among others.

He also currently chairs the Senate committee for Fiscal Responsibility & Accountability, and he was recently appointed Vice Chairman for the General Fund, which deals with all non-education government budgets.

Williams says it’s been a great honor to serve the people of District 10 these past few years – and he intends to continue the fight for conservative values.

Phil Williams is a Gadsden attorney, who has his own firm; he is also an Airborne Ranger and he currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Alabama National Guard.

He was awarded two Bronze Star Medals for service in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
