A Leesburg man has been arrested in connection with Unlawful Breaking and Entering of several vehicles which had taken place on Sunday (June 2nd) at a church in the Gaylesville area.
While en route to another call – Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle and contacted Deputy Michael Woods over the radio.
Woods assisted by Cedar Bluff Police Chief Steve Walden, verified that the driver – identified as Terry Wayne Parks – was indeed their suspect.
Parks confessed to the crimes and led Sheriff’s Office Investigators Matt Peek and Tony Monroy to a location near the church where the stolen items were hidden.
Parks is currently incarcerated in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing
