Bogus bills are turning up in Cherokee County.
According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver – several businesses have reportedly received the counterfeit money.
The phony bills are of poor quality and are easily distinguishable by anyone alert for fake money
The denominations of the bogus bills include tens, twenties, and one hundreds.
Investigators are working with the Secret Service to find the source of the fake money, which has also has been discovered recently in surrounding counties.
