Police are reporting that counterfeit money showed up in Rome over the weekend.
According to the report a manager at Zaxby’s on Shorter Avenue informed investigators that two fake $20 bills turned up in their drive-thru drawer between 12:00 noon and 6:30pm; two more of the phony bills were found between 5:00 and 7:45pm at the Taco Bell, located on Turner McCall Boulevard.
The matter remains under investigation.
