The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flood Warning for the Coosa River at Gadsden affecting Calhoun, Cherokee, Etowah and St. Clair Counties.
Heavy rainfall over the weekend is producing rises along the Coosa at Gadsden and there is the possibility of minor flooding.
The river is expected to rise above its flood stage of 511 feet.
