The Salvation Army Store in West Rome will be closing its doors forever this Friday (April 26th) – and according to the Salvation Army’s Facebook page, tough economic times are to blame.
That store has stood off Shorter Avenue in West Rome for more than 12 years, and will be sorely missed; fortunately, the central store on Second Avenue will remain open and will be undergoing renovations in the coming month to allow for more merchandise.
A spokesperson said, due to staff re-structuring the company will be able to offer a position to all those who worked at the West Rome location.
The Salvation Army relies on the sales from their stores to help fund its many programs reaching out to those in need.
