Community Gathers for Chamber Breakfast, Highlights Weiss Lake and Welcomes New Business

Centre – The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism hosted its monthly breakfast on Thursday morning at the Chamber Office, located on the campus of Gadsden State Cherokee. Executive Director Joy Perry opened the event with a warm welcome, followed by a prayer and blessing led by Lloyd Hopper of Leadership Cherokee.

Attendees then enjoyed a breakfast catered by East Street.

This month’s featured speaker was Councilman Ronnie Shaw, representing the Weiss Lake Improvement Association. (Video of Mr. Shaw’s remarks is available below.)

After Mr. Shaw’s address, Leann Lockridge shared announcements regarding upcoming local events.

The morning concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Elite Quality Cleaners, a new residential and commercial cleaning service serving Northeast Alabama and Northwest Georgia.

The Chamber’s monthly breakfast is held on the second Thursday of each month.
