Felony Domestic Assault Charges Obtained After Brief Standoff
From the Rainbow City Police Department:
On April 23, 2025, at approximately 8:30 PM officers responded to the area of Whorton Drive to investigate a report of someone screaming and two vehicles speeding away from the area.
Officers searched the area, but they were not able to locate any parties involved. Shortly after, officers received another call from Attalla Police Department stating that a domestic incident had occurred in the area of Misty Lane, in Rainbow City.
Officers were able to locate the suspect back at the residence. The suspect, Brodie Stracner, would not exit the residence. Etowah County Joint Special Operations Group was called to the scene. JSOG and the Rainbow City Police Department Detective Division conducted a search warrant of the residence and Stracner was taken into custody. Stracner was transported to the Etowah County Jail.
Brodie Stracner, 39 of Rainbow City, was formally charged with Domestic Violence 2nd Assault ($5000 Bond) and Obstruction of Governmental Operations ($1000 Bond).
We would like to thank Attalla Police Department, Southside Police Department, and the Etowah County Joint Special Operations Group for their assistance in this case.
