In March, Rainbow City Police Department took multiple reports of theft of firearms from vehicles of employees at a local business. The investigation led to a search warrant of a residence in the 200 block of Hayden Avenue, in Rainbow City which was conducted yesterday, April 3rd.
While attempting to conduct a search warrant of the residence, a brief standoff ensued. The situation was resolved peacefully and a stolen firearm out of Gadsden was recovered.
Ra’tavious Hicks, 22 of Rainbow City, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property 2nd, $2500 Cash Bond. Ja’Tavious Hicks, 21 of Gadsden, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant with more charges possible.
