GADSDEN – Avery Steward allowed just three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts. She was also 2-for-4 at the plate with a triple, three runs and two RBIs in leading the Spring Garden Lady Panthers to a 13-0 area softball win at Coosa Christian on Tuesday.

Maggie Jarrett doubled three times and drove in four runs for the Lady Panthers (6-4). Layla Ingram also had three hits, including a pair of doubles, with a walk, four runs and two RBIs. Helena Ingram had two hits, including a double, with two runs and three RBIs.

Addie Word doubled and drove in a pair of runs. Olivia Law contributed a hit and a run. Rylie Ham, Paisley Woodall and Lleyton Carroll each drew a walk. Carroll also scored a run. Kylie Bates and Kendall Birchfield also scored a run apiece.

Spring Garden plays at Sand Rock on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
