Sand Rock offense explodes in softball win at Gaston

GADSDEN – The Sand Rock Lady Wildcats exploded for 17 hits and scored 14 runs in a 14-3 softball win at Gaston on Tuesday.

Emma Sipsy led the Lady Wildcats with three hits, including a double. She also drove in a pair of runs and scored a pair of runs.

Aliyah King delivered a triple and a double with two runs and two RBIs. Macy Martin belted out a pair of doubles, drove in a pair of runs, walked twice and scored four times. Molly Grace Lay also had a pair of hits with a run and a RBI. Maddie Clanton tripled and scored a run.

Aubie Camp contributed two hits, including a double, with two runs and two RBIs.

Alyvia and Addisyn McMichen both had two hits and drove in two runs. Alyvia McMichen also scored a run. Taylyn Warren collected a double, a walk, a run and a RBI.

Sipsy earned the win after working six innings. She allowed two earned runs on three hits with two walks and six strikeouts. Martin tossed a scoreless inning with a walk.

Sand Rock travels to Pleasant Valley on Thursday.
