Mr. Tyler Shane Elkins, age 23 of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, March 08, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, March 13th at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shane Swafford officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. 

Survivors include his parents, James and Sharon Elkins; Siblings, Cathy McGatha, David (Deanna) Elkins, Steven (Kathy) Elkins, Cody Rutledge, Jackie Elkins, Sam Elkins, Will Elkins, J.C. Elkins, Jenny Elkins; Step-brother, Hayden Kelley; Nieces and nephews, Kamren Elkins, Dylan Elkins, Dakota Eads, Samantha Adams, Kyle Elkins, Karsyn Foster, Rolan Waldrop, Scott Johnson, Blake Johnson, Bryson Peltz, Conway Elkins, Lelan Elkins, Draco Elkins, and Kairi Elkins, Savannah McKnight, Erin Swindle, Ashley Elkins, Hayden Elkins, Henslee Elkins.

Pallbearers include Steven Elkins, David Elkins, Jackie Elkins, Will Elkins, Dylan Elkins, and Cody Rutledge.

Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Early, Tony Wilkie, Jim Strickland, Dewayne Agan.

Tyler’s favorite activities were fishing, playing beer pong, riding his razor with friends, watching Alabama football, getting tattoos, and taking pictures to capture memories for himself with friends. Tyler had a big heart and loved everyone. He never met a stranger and was always ready to have a good time. He enjoyed riding around and listening to music with his best friend and sidekick, Kamren Elkins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Margaret Elkins, Marvin and Kitty Kephart.

The family respectfully requests houseplants and flowers be sent to the funeral home.
