“K9 Cas made his highly anticipated public debut at the Rome City Commission Meeting tonight, receiving an enthusiastic and warm welcome.
Cas is a one-and-a-half-year-old Belgian Malinois, originally from the Netherlands, and has recently joined us from Pennsylvania. After training alongside K9 Officer Anthony Banks since November, Cas has become a skilled dual-purpose canine, specializing in narcotics detection, evidence and article recovery, tracking, and apprehension. His presence will not only enhance the safety of our officers and community but will also foster stronger engagement between law enforcement and residents.
