$1000 Tagged Crappie Caught in Crappie Rodeo On Weiss Lake

Weiss Lake Improvement Association’s  Crappie Rodeo Continues Through April 30th

Recently, Belynda Johnson of Tates Chapel Community landed a $1000 tag crappie. This is the first “Big Dollar” fish caught this year. She did have a Rodeo Badge and claimed her prize.

Melinda Hester brought a $50 tag fish into Bay Springs Marina.

Ricky Porter and his partner turned in a pair of tagged crappies at Little River Marina worth $100.

Danny Wright of Sand Rock caught a pair of $50 tagged fish.

 

There are 53 $1000 tagged crappies, more than 450 $100 fish and more than 450 tagged $50 fish and One That Is Worth $10,000.

Get your Crappie Rodeo Badge at one of the participating merchants around the Lake so you can claim your prize if you catch a tagged crappie.

The 2025 tag is Blue and will be located behind the dorsal fin.
